Why Women could make better world leaders

Deborah Tannen in You Just Don’t Understand says that men and women feel power in different ways. Men get it by feeling they have special powers and skills, that they are in a one-up position, that people get a sense they (men) are knowledgeable whether or not their listeners understand what they’re talking about, when they can manipulate people & objects, if they’re independent, and, of course, with any great manifestation of physical power. Women feel most powerful when they can help, when they effectively communicate and share their knowledge, and when their whole community is strong.
